Susan Schaefer

Susan Schaefer - creative thinker, communications consultant, executive coach, corporate trainer, university professor, writer, photographer, published poet and former newspaper editor and publisher. 

Susan guides clients to seek answers in unexpected places. Certified as a facilitator from the MIT-Harvard Public Disputes Program, a Presence Based coach, accredited in public relations, with a doctorate in European Public Affairs, and a Masters’ Degree in English, Susan brings dynamic perspective to client work,  providing counsel to government, business, NGO and not-for-profit leaders from such fields as higher education, banking, environment, architecture, engineering,  finance, and law. 

Her numerous professional honors, include the highest tribute in the United States’ public relations field, the Silver Anvil Award of Excellence, and the from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Diamond Achievement Award in Humanities which acknowledges intellectual achievement and the integration of a liberal education with social responsibility.

Susan’s photography has appeared in juried shows such as her 2017 solo show, Profiles in Courage: Intimate Portraits of firefighters at the the Birchwood Cafe, WARM Guerrilla Girls, NEMMA Fall Fine Arts, Chronicles and The American Way at the Mpls Photo Center, Anam Ćara: Soul Friends at Regis Center for Art, University of Minnesota, and in the Miksang Contemplative Photography Exhibit, Philadelphia Shambhala Center . Numerous images are in The Minneapolis Riverfront: Vision an Implementation book (1995), and all images in The Earth Shall ClaimYour Limbs: Martijn’s Journey With Anal Cancer (2013).
